Your role at BRE

This role is responsible for managing and delivering BRE’s certification services for passive fire protection products and systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct technical reviews and assessments against LPCB schemes, UKCA, and Construction Products Regulation requirements.

• Manage certification projects from initial enquiry to the issue of certificates, approval specifications, and scope documents.

• Develop and maintain test schedules, reviewing technical data and documentation for accuracy and compliance.

• Liaise with internal teams, clients, approval agencies, and accreditation bodies to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Support internal and external audits to maintain compliance with ISO 17065 and BRE quality standards.

• Prioritise and manage workloads to meet project deadlines and organisational objectives.

What we are looking for

- Technical competence in Passive Fire Protection and understanding of relevant product standards, regulations, and certification schemes (LPCB, UKCA, CPR).

- Experience in product testing, evaluation, and certification processes, including reviewing technical data and documentation.

- Knowledge of management system standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and manufacturing processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Organisational skills to plan and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and objectives.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

- Experience working with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders in a technical or project-focused environment.

- Willingness to travel occasionally, within the UK and internationally.

Work Location Options

Hybrid – This role offers a mix of home and office working. You will need to be within commuting distance of our Watford office, as you will be expected to attend in person 3 times per week.
