Your role at BRE
This role is responsible for managing and delivering BRE’s certification services for passive fire protection products and systems. Key responsibilities include:
Conduct technical reviews and assessments against LPCB schemes, UKCA, and Construction Products Regulation requirements.
Manage certification projects from initial enquiry to the issue of certificates, approval specifications, and scope documents.
Develop and maintain test schedules, reviewing technical data and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Liaise with internal teams, clients, approval agencies, and accreditation bodies to ensure smooth project delivery.
Support internal and external audits to maintain compliance with ISO 17065 and BRE quality standards.
Prioritise and manage workloads to meet project deadlines and organisational objectives.
What we are looking for
- Technical competence in Passive Fire Protection and understanding of relevant product standards, regulations, and certification schemes (LPCB, UKCA, CPR).
- Experience in product testing, evaluation, and certification processes, including reviewing technical data and documentation.
- Knowledge of management system standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organisational skills to plan and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Experience working with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders in a technical or project-focused environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, within the UK and internationally.

Work Location Options
Hybrid – This role offers a mix of home and office working. You will need to be within commuting distance of our Watford office, as you will be expected to attend in person 3 times per week.
