Your role at BRE
This role is responsible for leading the delivery and development of BRE Ireland’s Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verification service. It ensures that EPD activities are delivered to a high technical standard, aligned with regulatory requirements, and integrated with wider certification and assurance services, while supporting service growth and continuous improvement.
Lead end-to-end delivery of EPD verification projects, from initial enquiry and proposal through to verification, publication, and listing
Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures aligned with CPR, CE Marking, and certification requirements
Support the development and integration of the EPD service within wider BRE Ireland certification and assurance activities
Apply LCA methodology and EPD standards to ensure technically robust and compliant outputs
Monitor regulatory developments and incorporate new CPR requirements into workflows and service delivery
Collaborate with internal technical teams, certification engineers, and customers to ensure effective project execution
Drive service improvement through feedback, process optimisation, and enhanced ways of working
Support digital tools and systems that improve efficiency and strengthen the EPD service offering
Contribute to fee-earning activities, pipeline development, and achievement of wider business objectives.
What we are looking for
Strong experience in EPD verification and applying Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology in practice
Solid understanding of EPDs, LCA principles, and relevant ISO/CEN standards for construction products
Good knowledge of Construction Products Regulation (CPR), CE Marking, and product certification/verification schemes, including awareness of evolving EU requirements
Experience using LCA modelling tools (e.g. SimaPro, Ecoinvent) and data analysis/reporting tools
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and deliver to deadlines
Strong analytical and numerical capability, with confidence interpreting complex technical data
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across technical and commercial teams
Experience contributing to process development, continuous improvement, and service delivery enhancements
Desirable: Experience working with accreditation bodies such as UKAS or INAB
Desirable: Understanding of the wider construction sector and application of LCA across different product types

Work Location Options
Mostly Remote – This role is primarily home-based, with occasional travel to our office in Dublin for planned meetings (1-2 times per month).
